Phyno recently shared his thoughts on the state of today’s music industry, expressing concern over how things have changed. He pointed out that many young artists are now in the game solely for money, fame, and lifestyle perks rather than a true passion for music.
According to him, the industry used to be built on years of dedication, hard work, and consistency. But now, some new artists rise quickly and disappear just as fast because they lack the foundation to sustain a long-term career.
Phyno also reflected on how much the industry has shifted, saying, "Imagine if I had released my past hits in 2025—the streaming numbers would have been unbelievable!"
He emphasized that the real issue is the obsession with making commercial hits rather than meaningful music. In his opinion, many of today’s songs lack depth and motivation, with most focusing only on flashy lifestyles and shallow themes.
"It’s sad to see the culture fading," he added, highlighting his disappointment with the current state of the industry.
What do you think? Do you agree with Phyno’s take on today’s music scene?
